I appreciate how you entered deep into the issue, over the superficial talks, but with a broad perspective that bridges the gap between seemingly inconciliabile worlds. In fact, I don’t think they’re inconciliabile at all, and is wrong to re-iterate this harmful message. I think is much easier to cross bridges with such a honest and inclusive dialogue, as proposed here. Without self-absolving from mistakes, but understanding better the people and emotions involved.

I think the rhetoric adopted also by activists is a tricky one: as you observed, it willingly plays with emotions in a -sometimes- manipulative way and, as result, it pushes away people. I think is possible to face uncomfortable issues starting from a honest ground, but too often I don’t see it happening, from all sides.
